He was predeceased by : his parents, Ede Hansen and Bertha Hansen; his son Edward Nebel Hansen; his brother Donald Hansen; his parents-in-law, Alene and Richard Westfield Nebel; and his siblings-in-law, Richard William Nebel and Nancy Palmer.
He is survived by : his wife Mary Sue Hansen of Munising; his children, Karl Hansen (Michelle), Philip Hansen and Mary Flanigan (Jim); his brother Leonard Hansen (Paula); his siblings-in-law, Jean Hansen, Charles Nebel (Mary) and Philip Palmer; his grandchildren, Sarita Hansen, Sabine Hansen, Sophie Hansen, Eleanor Flanigan, James Flanigan and Richie Flanigan; his nieces and nephews, Jenifer Carmody, Ted Hansen (Jen), John Hansen (Kate), Andrew Hansen (Alba), Kelly Nebel, Lauri Cullen (Joe), Charlie Nebel (Denise), Mark Nebel (Kelly), Rick Nebel (Jamie), Bill Palmer (Anna) and Camie Conklin (Chris); his great-nieces and great-nephews, Calvin Carmody, Nate Carmody, Spencer Carmody, Andrew Hansen, Annika Hansen, Owen Hansen, Joy Hansen, Margot Weinert (Joel), Mark Cullen, Kyle Christian (Samantha), Cameron Nebel, Keegan Nebel (Leanne), Chase Nebel, Kane Nebel, Bella Nebel, Cole Nebel, Ava Nebel, Isabelle Nebel, Larsen Nebel, Brian Palmer, Owen Palmer, Quinn Palmer, Lucy Jo Palmer, Emma Conklin and Jack Conklin; and also, Theo Weinert, Jones Christian and Jace Nebel.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 7th 2023 at 1:00 PM at the United Methodist Church (312 Lynn St, Munising, MI 49862). A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 7th 2023 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
