He was predeceased by: his parents, Melvin L. Shepler and Cora E. Henlen. He is survived by: his wife Virginia Shepler (Ginger); his children, Kent Shepler (Gail), Anne Shepler (Olav Richter) and Kathy Fountain (Layne); and his grandchildren, Owen, Ryan Shepler, Phoebe, Torben Richter, Andrea and Layne Jr. Fountain.
