William Walta Obituary

William leaves behind cherished memories for friends, family, and all who had the privilege of knowing him. William’s life was marked by connections and experiences that touched those around him. Though he is no longer with us, the moments shared, the laughter, and the support he offered will continue to resonate. All who knew William will carry forward his memory in their hearts.

He was loved and cherished by many people including: wife: Sue (Beukema) Walta; parents: Paul Emil Walta and Anna Virginia (Knip) Walta; children: Brian Walta (Lynna McKinley), Jennie Underwood (Gary), and Steve Walta (Shelley Turner); grandchildren: Anna (Walta) Koorndyk (Andrew), Avery Walta, Allison Underwood, Luke Underwood, Julie Underwood, Brooklyn Walta, and Jackson Walta; siblings: Barbara Bossaller (Terry), Bob Walta (Pam), and Gal Giron (Karen) (Miguel (Gilberto)); uncle and aunt: Joseph and Joyce Walta; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Visitation will be held on Friday, October 9th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Daggett Gilbert Funeral Home (13985 Northland Dr, Big Rapids, MI 49307). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 10th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Woodville Community Church (6206 N Pine Ave, White Cloud, MI 49349).
