She was predeceased by : her parents, Encarnacion Rivera and Petra Rivera (Sanchez); her granddaughter Cecilia Smith; and her siblings, Nahum S. Rivera, Esperanza S. Narvaiz (Paul), Gloria S. Huerta (Tom), David S. Rivera and Anthony S. Rivera.

She is survived by : her husband Craig S. Thayer of Birch Run; her son Craig S. Thayer, Jr. of Saginaw; her grandchildren, Isabella Cecilia Thayer, Aurora Grace Torres and Ricardo Torres; her siblings, Daniel S. Rivera (Alejandra), Linda S. Huron (Frank) and Lisa M. Thayer (Robert); and her sister-in-law Tina Rivera. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, extended family, and dear friends.
