He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward McNamara and Ozellah McNamara (Carroll); his wife Peggy Anne Atkins; the mother of his children Beverly J. Morse; his siblings, James and Margaret Lafferty Periard; his grandson Michael Mitchell; his son-in-law Max Mitchell; and his siblings-in-law, Thomas Lafferty, Bill Periard, Perry Atkins, Willard (Jean Atkins), Andrew (Barb Atkins) and Vangie McNamara.
He is survived by: his children, James McNamara (Diane) of Flushing, Michael McNamara (Pam) of Grand Blanc, Ed McNamara (JoAnne) of Birch Run, Chris McNamara (Diane) of Clio, Helen Mitchell of Birch Run, Mary Ann Gust (Paul McFarland) of Montrose and Jeanette Buthker (David) of Birch Run; his brothers, Robert McNamara (Janet), Rev. Thomas McNamara and Richard McNamara; and his sister-in-law Lee Atkins. He is also survived by 20 grandchildren; 33 great grandchildren; 3 great-great grandchildren.
