He was predeceased by: his parents, Cecil Smith and Phyllis Smith; his wife Barbara Smith; and his siblings, Jerald Smith and Janet Smith.
He is survived by: his children, Jackie King (Robert) and Jill Gilbert (William); his grandchildren, Adam King (Page), Kacey Skelly (Michael), Drew King (Alexis) and Julia Remtema (Marcus); his great grandchildren, Karsyn, Griffin, Kendrie, Hudson, Everett and Truett; his siblings, Virginia Gammage, Wesley Smith (Liz), Carson Smith (Judy) and Randy Smith; and his sister-in-law Bonnie Smith. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Monday, September 14th 2026 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Mumford-Hudson Funeral Home (116 Grove St, Otisville, MI 48463). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, September 15th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
