He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Golden Marsh and Elizabeth Martin Marsh; his sister Jean Marsh King; and his nephew Scott King. He is survived by: his wife Carol; his children, Elisa Marsh Roovers (Dan) and John Martin (Jay); his granddaughters, Lauren Roovers, Hailey Roovers, Mia Marsh and Maggie Marsh; and his sibling's children, Bud King of Barrington, Ryan Coyle of Birmingham and Elizabeth Kominski of Olney, Maryland..

He was an active volunteer at SCORE, BASCC, and the Birmingham Education Foundation.
