He is survived by: his wife Carol; his children, Elisa Marsh Roovers (Dan) and John Martin (Jay); his granddaughters, Lauren Roovers, Hailey Roovers, Mia Marsh and Maggie Marsh; his nephews, Bud King of Barrington and Ryan Coyle of Birmingham; and his niece Elizabeth Kominski of Olney, Maryland..

He was an active volunteer at SCORE, BASCC, and the Birmingham Education Foundation.
