He was predeceased by: his brother Fred Safran; and his parents, Hyman Safran and Leah Safran. He is survived by: his son Jared Safran (Lauren Abraham Mahoney); his grandchildren, Maya Mahoney and Alexander Safran; his siblings, James Safran (late Didi Wainess) and Sharon Daniels (late Larry); and his former wife Barbara Safran Cohen. He is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
