He was predeceased by: his parents, Veronica Prekel and Joseph Prekel; and his sisters, Emily Prekel and Rita Nixon. He is survived by: his wife Moira Prekel; his daughters, Susan Prekel of Berkley and Catherine Handley (Dustin) of Jackson; his grandchildren, Taylor and Bryce Handley; and his sister Joan Folden.
