Jeff Denson wrote a sympathy message

“I recently heard about Norm's passing from a mutual friend. My sympathy to Norm's family. I worked with Norm for three years in the Air Force in the mid-1980s. Norm was more detailed-oriented than almost any other senior official I ever worked with. He always knew the minute technical details of any project he had an interest in. Norm always encouraged me to increase my job responsibilities. I will always remember that advice.”
