She was loved and cherished by many people including: husband: Thomas J. Hughes; parents: Thomas McGrath and Phyllis (Johnson) McGrath; siblings: Susan Dowd and Thomas McGrath; children: James (Nancy), Mary Claire (Kevin Devine), Anne (Tom Hassett), Margaret (Andrew McCulloch), Elizabeth (Marshall Robbins), Catie (Bill Kasinak), Jane (Justin LaBond), Tom (Dea), John K. Hughes, Catherine Anne, and Mary Brigid; grandchildren: Maureen (Stephen Foster), Carolyn, Rebecca, Tom, Nolan (Jared Holyszko), Tom, Dylan, Joe, Catie, Pete, Max, Megan, Maggie, Bridget, Tess, David, Julia, Stephen, Zoe, Phoebe, Maeve, and Michael; great-grandchildren: Cormac Foster and Charlotte Foster; and numerous nieces and nephews in the McGrath, Dowd, and Richards families.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 9th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:30 PM at the Lynch & Sons Funeral Home (1368 N Crooks Rd, Clawson, MI 48017). A funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, October 10th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the Holy Name Catholic Church (630 Harmon St, Birmingham, MI 48009).
