He was loved and cherished by many people including : his parents, Robert N. Woodruff Sr. and Beatrice Pease Woodruff; his sister Anne; his stepmother Phyllis Saunders Woodruff; his stepsiblings, Bill Saunders and Prudence Saunders; his wife Frannie; his sons, Dave (Lee Ann), Bob (Lee), Jim (Amanda) and Mike; his grandchildren, Kyle, Ellie, Mack, Cathryn, Nora, Claire, Kaelin and Holden; and his brother-in-law Jim Dawson. He was also cherished by many nieces and nephews.

He also brightened the days of the caregivers that helped him out on a day-to-day basis, and they loved him for it, even through the difficulties the pandemic brought down upon us all.
