He was predeceased by : his parents, Theodore Kenning and Nettie Kenning; his wife Shirley; and his siblings, Carlton and Pearl.

He is survived by : his sons, Jim Kenning (Kitty), Steve Kenning (Patricia) and Tom Kenning (Melanie McCoy); his grandchildren, Kristin Kenning (Brian Viliunas), Sarah Charters (Ry), Robert Kenning, Katherine Kenning (Jeremiah Baker), Kristine Kenning (James Dye), Douglas Kenning and Mary Kenning (Jay Swinson); and his great grandchildren, Robert, Henry, Willow, Penny, Robin, Luca and Mason.

Visitation will be held on Friday, May 10th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Lynch & Sons Funeral Directors - Clawson (1368 N Crooks Rd, Clawson, MI 48017). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, May 11th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the Highland Park Baptist Church (28600 Lahser Rd, Southfield, MI 48034).
