She was predeceased by: her parents, Renee Sparage and Ralph Sparage; and her grandparents, Rebecca, Jack Smith, Anna and Harry Sparage.

She is survived by: her children, Jake Gilbert and Kory Gilbert (Nayema); her siblings, Irving Sparage (Odette Schwartz) and Karen Weiss; her nieces and nephews, Dan Weiss (Ariel) and Reggie Mettille (Nick Mettille); and the father of her children Ken Gilbert.

A funeral service was held on Wednesday, May 14th 2025 at 2:00 PM.

It is suggested that those who wish to further honor the memory of Sandra "Sandy" Gilbert may do so by making a contribution to: A Charity of one's choice.
