It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Sue Marx of Birmingham, Michigan, who passed away on July 17, 2023, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Sue Marx to pay them a last tribute.
She was loved and cherished by many people including : her parents, Louis (Leona Gothelf) and America; her daughters, Terry Marx (Stephen Arpadi) of New York City, Jane Marx (Lena Weiss) of Albuquerque, NM and Liz Marx of Santa Monica, CA; and her grandchildren, Adina, Charlotte Marx-Arpadi, Jude Marx and Teresa Pekala.
Her images have endured: Three years ago, the Birmingham-Bloomfield Art Center mounted an exhibit: Photographs by Sue Marx: Images from History: People who Defined Detroit in the 1960s, which managed to be a success despite the pandemic.
