He was predeceased by: his parents, Evonne Smith (Pruitt) and Ted Smith; his stepmother Virginia Smith; his brother Ted; and his in-laws, Ellsworth and Virginia Eloise Webb.
He is survived by: his wife Virginia Smith (Webb); his sisters, Linda Gruwell (Jerry) and Judy Shaw (Bill); and his grandchildren, Benjamin (Jennifer), Jonathan, Hannah, Elisabeth (Kevin), Rachel (Zach), Steven (Reagan), Frank, Samuel (Rachel), Ellen, Leah (Richard), Conor (Allie), Josiah (Hannah), Virginia Joy (Jacob), Kristen, Daniel, Nathan and Evan.
Memorial contributions can be made to the Blissfield Baptist Church or the Riga Township Fire Department.
