He was predeceased by: his parents, Kathryn Ong and Graham Ong; and his sister Mary Richardson (Isaac). He is survived by: his wife Jacqueline Paulus Ong; and his children, Kelley Smith (Doug), Molly DeFrancesco (John), Patrick (Michelle) and Katie.
