He was predeceased by: his parents, Wesley Hamburg and Hazel Hamburg; and his siblings, Glen (late Judy) and Jim Hamburg (late Joyce). He is survived by: his wife Theresa; his children, Daniel and Kathleen Collin (Stephen); his grandchildren, Chase (Chelsay), Pierce (Delaney), Laine Hamburg, Kayla Steele (Howard) and Haley Collin (Ethan Sendo); his great grandchildren, John, Crew Hamburg and Howard IV Steele; his friend Patricia; his stepchildren, Larry, David Kell and Janis Foster (Chris); and his grandchildren, Alyssa, Hanna, Emma Kell, Christopher and Megan Foster.
