She was predeceased by: her husband Seymour Shapiro; and her parents, Aaron Small and Bella Small. She is survived by: her daughters, Ellen Kirsch (David), Carol Cook (late Marty), Marilyn Kohen (William) and Kaye Weinberger (Allen); her grandchildren, Lisa Satawa (Mark), Wendy Kirsch, Brad Manhoff, Jyll Bender (Andrew), Jamie Blank (Howard), Dr. Robbie Kohen (Laurie), Dr. Jeffrey Weinberger (Sara) and Amy Winer (Matthew); and her great grandchildren, Megan Satawa, Justin Satawa, Jordan Manhoff, Abby Manhoff, Luca Bender, Maisie Bender, Ella Blank, Ari Blank, Addison Kohen, Drew Kohen, Charlie Weinberger, Max Weinberger, Sam Weinberger, Alexis Winer and Scarlett Winer. She is also survived by loving nieces, nephews and friends.
