He was predeceased by: his sibling Beverly Lippitt (late Norman); his brother-in-law Neil Sporn (Allison); his parents, Adolph Slatkin and Esther Slatkin; and his parents-in-law, Pauline Dubin (Sporn) and Jack Sporn.

He is survived by: his wife Donna Slatkin; his children, Jay Slatkin and Andrea Bershad (Philip); his grandchildren, Elianna Bershad and Jack Bershad; and his sibling-in-law Brina Reinstein.
