Sally Gerak Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Sally Gerak of Bloomfield Hills, Michigan, born in Indianapolis, Indiana, who passed away on October 24, 2023, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Massie and Thelma; her husband Joe Gerak; her siblings, Sue Collins and Steve Miller (Lynn); her children, Josh, Jay (Mary), Julia Gerak McEligot (Sean) and Jeremy (Lisa); her grandchildren, Joe (Bec), Callista, Violet, Jackson, Jake (Andrea) and John (Melanie); and her former husband John Murphy. She was also cherished by numerous nieces, nephews, grand-nieces and grand-nephews.
The outbreak of COVID in 2020 put a sudden halt to Sally's work, as public health concerns halted in-person social events.
In lieu of flowers, Sally would have appreciated it if people would direct their donations to The Community House, which held a special place in her heart, and which she promoted and supported her entire adult life. (https://www.communityhouse.com).
