He was predeceased by: his parents, Racil Mapes and Olive Mapes (Knapp); and his siblings, Racil "Pepper" Mapes, Dawn Mapes and Lucille Hersha.
He is survived by: his wife Alma Mapes; his children, Bambi Moore (Kevin) of Boyne City, Harold Jr. Mapes (Tammy) of Charlevoix and Jennifer Kinner (Chris) of Boyne Falls; his grandchildren, Derik Moore, Christopher Moore (Abby), Amber Mapes, Dorenda Klintworth, Nicole Kroondyke (Blake), Harold III Mapes (Katelynn), Hannah Marquardt (Dusty) and Gabriel Reinhardt; his great grandchildren, Jayden, Madison Moore, Eloise, Madelyn, Kenny Ormsbee, Sadie, Theodore, Jasper, Melody, Saylor Klintworth, Abigale, Gracie, Bentley Kroondyke, Jude Reinhardt and Bruce Marquardt; and his sister Betty Mapes. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
The family has asked for donations to be directed to Bambi Moore care of Stackus Funeral Home (417 Elm Street, Boyne City, MI 49712).
