He was predeceased by: his former wife Marilynn Joyce Shassberger; and his grandsons, Brendan and Zac. He is survived by: his wife Barbara Spencer; his children, Deborah (Mike), Stephen (Lori) and Scott (Shannon); his stepdaughters, Jill (Al) and Amy (Shane); and his grandchildren, Stephen, Jordan, Maren, Lindsey, Maddie, Abbie, Samantha, Scott, Sarah, Matt, Shayna and Austen. He is also survived by 12 great-grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 23rd 2026 at 11:00 AM at the St. Matthew Catholic Church (1303 Boyne Ave, Boyne City, MI 49712).
