He was predeceased by: his father Henry Zimmerman; his stepfather Lester Howard; his stepbrother Henry Howard; and his grandparents, Henry Zimmerman Sr., Mary, Maynard Brown, John and Bertha Clausen.
He is survived by: his mother Mabel Howard (Clausen); his children, Kyrsha Moore (Robert) of Stanton, Collin Zimmerman (Sarah) of Petoskey and Olivia Klimsza (Adam) of Pellston; his grandsons, Owen Moore and Theodore Klimsza; his stepmother Alice Zimmerman; his siblings, Darren Zimmerman (Lori Knight), Danielle Schmoldt (Dave), LeAnn Howard (Kyle Shelly), Jeff Howard and Harlan Howard; and his close friends, Mark McGuire and Gerry DeLyon. He is also survived by his three children and his grandchildren.
