He was predeceased by: his parents, Franklin Killian and Martha Killian; and his brother David Killian. He is survived by: his wife Marilyn (Gaul) of Farmington, MI; and his children, Rob Killian (Alison) of Rockford, MI, Marcia Killian of Gaylord, MI, Mason, Morgan, Abigail, Ashley, Dayton and Chloe.
He acquired his Master's Degree in 4 years through a Ford Foundation Grant and Teaching Program.
