He was predeceased by: his wife Jenifer Diane Monette; his parents, Victor Paul Monette and Charlotte Elizabeth Gark (Monette); his grandchildren, Autumn Monette and Brayden Monette; and his sister Loretta McCallum.
He is survived by: his children, Denise Russell (Tom), Shaun Monette (Ann Marie), Katrina Campbell (Ken), Ron Monette, Jr., Matt Monette and Tracy Harding (Greg); his sister Vicki Daniels (Fred); his sisters-in-law, Amy Burke (Jason) and Teresa Wilson (Bob); his grandchildren, Michael LeVoir (Briana), Josh LeVoir (Chelsea), Kaylyn LeVoir (Josh), Tristan Campbell (Robbie), Kennedy Campbell, Bella Campbell, Justyne Campbell, Sophia Monette, Hayley Rousseau (Rob), Chance Monette, Cameron Sinnett and Conner Grunwald (Sam); and his great grandchildren, Shawn Rousseau, Kenleigh Rousseau, Zoey Rousseau, Brandon Rousseau, Audrey LeVoir and Jude LeVoir. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and special friends.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 5th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM, from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Monday, October 6th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Swartz Funeral Home (1225 W Hill Rd, Flint, MI 48507). A celebration of life will be held on Monday, October 6th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you honor Ron by planting something green, casting a line, or simply pausing to watch the birds — just as he would have done.
