He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl Frobel and Mary Frobel (Spellman). He is survived by: his sons, David Sutherland Jr. (Debra), Richard Sutherland, Timothy Sutherland (Jody) and Joshua Sutherland (Lisa); and his siblings, Richard Story, Debbie Rosenthal, Steve and Keith Sutherland. He is also survived by ten grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren.
