We are sad to announce that on December 10, 2025, at the age of 87, Dorotha Jean Bracken of Brighton, Michigan passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Cecil Doty and Ethel Thurza Doty (Sutton); and her siblings, Carol Balliet, Mildred Mills and Douglas Doty.
She is survived by: her husband Russell Bracken; her children, Julie Hixson (Lee) of Darragh, PA, Don Dickinson of Saline and Amy Daybird (Steve) of Brighton; her grandchildren, Emily Miller, William Hixson, Ian Dickinson, William Nuffer (Crystal), Stephanie Gavin (Aaron), Megan Daybird, Lauren McDowell (John) and Andrew Daybird; her great grandchildren, Holli, Ava, Brayden, Scarlet, Preston and Carson; and her sister Judy Buszka (Dave) of Byron Center. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 18th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Sharp Funeral Homes - Fenton Chapel (1000 W Silver Lake Rd, Fenton, MI 48430). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, December 18th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Thursday, December 18th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Great Lakes National Cemetery (4200 Belford Rd, Holly, MI 48442).
