He was predeceased by: his parents, John McMaster and Elizabeth McMaster (Meagher); his former wife Carol McMaster; his sons, Matthew McMaster and Paul McMaster; and his son-in-law Douglas Wheeler.
He is survived by: his wife Delphine McMaster; his children, Gerald McMaster (Nancy), Gregory McMaster, Julie Wheeler and Darlene Kryza; and his daughters-in-law, Sally McMaster and Hillary McMaster. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren; and 3 great-granddaughters.
