He was predeceased by: his parents, Dale Horton and Lorna Horton (Viers); his stepfather Bill Vroman; his grandparents, Asie, Christine Viers, William and Gladys Horton; his stepgrandmother Thelma; his aunt Debbie Devine; and his uncle Charles Viers.
He is survived by: his girlfriend Jill Neuens; his daughter Syklar Horton; his aunts and uncles, Linda, Tim Joye, Gary and Sherry Frazier; and his great-aunt Nancy Marshall. He is also survived by several cousins and many friends.
