He was loved and cherished by many people including : his wife Joann Roos; his children, Louis Roos (Betsy), Christopher Roos (Janet), Gerilyn Nutt (Michael), Nancy Kopek (Richard) and James Roos; his grandchildren, Kara Fischhaber (Adam), Michael Roos, Kristinna Knezek (Matthew), Kristin Roos, Matthew Roos, Colleen Roos (Omar), Marcus Roos, Kellyn Roos, Anthony Kopek, Carter Roos, Austin Kopek and Kimberly Nutt; his great grandchildren, Ashton and Ryder Fischhaber; his brothers, Carl Roos (Shirley), Donald Roos (Marie) and Edward Roos (Patricia); and his siblings-in-law, Diane Poole and Leonard Poole. He was also cherished by many loving family members and friends.

“I want to extend my deepest condolences to the entire Roos family. I started writing remembrances, but there are too many to write in such a small space. What I will say is that I am grateful and thankful to have known "Uncle Lou"; a man of great kindness, caring, charity, and laughter. A man of substance.
