She was predeceased by: her parents, Stanley Borglin and Ruth Borglin (Black); her husbands, John P. Dean and Robert Vix Kennedy; and her daughter Holly Dean.
She is survived by: her children, Michael Dean and Cathy Dean Smashey; her stepdaughter Pam Kennedy of Illinois; her grandchildren, Jessi Smashey (Dillon Herman) of Connecticut, Larry Smashey and Samantha Smashey; and her great grandchildren, Sterling Brooks Jr., Liyana Simmons, Peyton and Blake Herman.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 8th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Friday, October 10th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A rosary will be held on Wednesday, October 8th 2025 at 7:00 PM at the Borek Jennings Funeral Homes (7425 M-36, Brighton, MI 48139). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Friday, October 10th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Holy Spirit Catholic Church (9565 Musch Rd, Brighton, MI 48116).
