She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles Barton and Elizabeth Barton. She is survived by: her husband Louis Mitchell; her sons, Mark Ruerat (Christine Kozicki) and Kenneth Ruerat (Karen); her stepchildren, Louis, Deborah Mitchell (Bill Schulz), Ronald Mitchell, Neil Mitchell (Tina) and Richard Mitchell (Kimberly); and her sisters, Jennie Hopeck, Charlene Barton and Lisa Brown.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, November 11th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Keehn-Griffin Funeral Home (706 W Main St, Brighton, MI 48116). The lying in state will be held on Thursday, November 12th 2026 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at the St. Patrick Catholic Church (711 Rickett Rd, Brighton, MI 48116). A funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, November 12th 2026 at 10:30 AM at the same location.
Mary Ann will lie in state on Thursday, November 12, 2026, at 9:30 a.m. at St. Patrick Catholic Church, 711 Rickett Road, Brighton, until the time of her Funeral Mass at 10:30 a.m. In honor of Mary Ann's memory, contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital https://www.stjude.org. or a charity of your choice.
