With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Peter Messina (Brighton, Michigan), who passed away on January 9, 2026 at the age of 76. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Anthony Messina and Vincenza "Vera" Messina (Ciaravino); his brother Frank Messina; his parents-in-law, Glen and Delores Schimmel; and his siblings-in-law, William Schimmel, Butch Schimmel and Kathy Zalewski.
He is survived by: his wife Linda Messina; his siblings, JoJo Messina, Jacquelyn Ferriter and AnnMarie Rowland (Rick); and his sisters-in-law, Janice Messina, Jean Trute (Will), Pat Schimmel, Diane Leporowski (Al) and Betty Clacher (Tom). He is also survived by numerous nieces & nephews; great-nieces & nephews & great-nieces & nephews.
