He was predeceased by: his parents, Bernard M. I and Kathleen L. Smith (Young); his stepdaughter Christina Marie Parr; his daughter Kelly L. Smith; and his sister Kathy Toy.
He is survived by: his wife Catherine Smith (Clow); his stepsons, Robert Clow (Chasteen) of Burkburnett and Jason Clow (Michelle) of Brimley, Michigan; and his son Bernard Smith III. He is also survived by eleven grandchildren; and three great grandchildren.
