She was predeceased by: her parents, Lawrence Pontius and Wanda Pontius; her son Matt Pontius; and her sister Shawn Pontius. She is survived by: her children, Andrew Pontius of Burr Oak, MI and Jeni Bowerman; her daughter-in-law Katrina Pontius; her grandchildren, Ashton Pontius, La'Miya and Lylan McIntyre; her siblings, Deborah Klujsza and Dawayne Pontius; her niece Amber Pontius; and her nephew Brett Foster.
