He was predeceased by: his parents, Claire Begeman and Elsie Begeman; and his siblings-in-law, Darlene Begeman and Al Gackowski. He is survived by: his wife Carol Van Horn; his children, Denise Rusnell (Terry) of Clarkston, MI, Melissa Van Scoy (Doug) of Johnstown, CO and Garett Begeman (Joey) of Ottawa Hills, OH; his grandchildren, Kate Rusnell, Kennedy Rusnell, Josie Mellon (William), Jared Van Scoy (Emily), Curtis Van Scoy, Gabe Begeman, Gray Begeman and Gates Begeman; his great grandchildren, Alayna, Boaz, Aubrey, Carter and Paxton; his siblings, Donna Gacowski and Duane Begeman; and his sisters-in-law, Nelda Van Horn and Cherry Van Horn. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and friends.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 7th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Bloomingdale Christian Church (208 E Pine St, Bloomingdale, MI 49026-5102). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 7th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location.
