With sadness, we share the passing of George Allen Bailey Jr. in Bronson, Michigan. George, born on November 29, 1946 in Cincinnati, Ohio, passed away on September 20, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, George Bailey and Florence Gately Bailey; his wife Susan Schwegel; his children, Jennifer Bailey, Lorie Bailey Llewellyn, Kathleen Bailey Redmond, Erin Bailey and Russell Bailey; his grandchildren, Dr. Brandon Llewellyn, Evan Llewellyn, Connor Llewellyn, Teagan Redmond, Liam Redmond, Alex Bailey and Eoin Bailey; and his great grandchild Eleanor Llewellyn.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 24th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the St. Joseph Catholic Church (61 N 23rd St, Battle Creek, MI 49015). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Thursday, September 24th 2026 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the same location. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, September 24th 2026 at 1:30 PM at the Fort Custer National Cemetery (15501 W Dickman Rd, Augusta, MI 49012).
In lieu of flowers memorial donations in memory of Rus may be directed to Tunnel to Towers Foundation, 2361 Hylan Boulevard, Staten Island, NY 10306.
