He was predeceased by: his parents, Vernon Flager and Lola Flager; his wife Dorothy; his siblings, Don, Evelyn, Florence, Melvin, Herb and Nora Ellen; and his son-in-law Bob Wilson.

He is survived by: his children, Bob and Debi. He is also survived by his son and his wife, his daughter, five grandsons, four great granddaughters.
