He was predeceased by: his parents, Millard Shell and Flossie Shell (Evans); his wife Carole Stubbs; his son Michael; his grandson Brenton; and his brothers, Basil, Bill, Harold, Jerry and Don.
He is survived by: his children, Laurinda Shell and Jack Shell (Linda); his grandchildren, Jennifer Rhodes (Steve Scott), Geoffery Bagwell, Christopher Shell (Chuck Walters), Benjamin Shell, Lindsey Rose, Lauren Shell and Leanna Stokes (Bruce); his great grandchildren, Michael, Zachery, Sarah, Eliza, Peyton, Lainy, Connor, Logan and Emma; Chere Shell.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to MSTAF (Michigan State Troopers Assistance Fund).
