He was predeceased by: his parents, Ed and Beatrice; his wife Marilyn Jane; his son Scott Matthews; his brother James; and his sister-in-law Barbara Matthews.
He is survived by: his children, Mark Matthews (Kim), Teri Gietek (David) and Todd; and his siblings, Tom Matthews (Marilyn) and Wilma Woodward (Darold). He is also survived by many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
