She was predeceased by: her parents, Cyril Spike and Myra Spike (Oulmann); her son Kurt Talsma; and her sister Edith Kettler. She is survived by: her husband John J. Talsma; her children, Valerie Talsma, Pam Krueger (Mike) and Craig Talsma (Melissa); her grandchildren, Rose Shrader (Kurt), Paul Krueger (Heather), Laura King (William) and Eli Talsma; her great grandchildren, Evelyn, Angeline, Beatrix Shrader, Amos, Maxwell, Heidi Krueger and Gale King; and her siblings, Richard Spike (Madelon), Bill Spike (Deb), Diann Jenkins and Tom Spike (Barb).
Visitation was held on Friday, September 26th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 6:30 PM and on Saturday, September 27th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Cane Funeral Home-Bruce Crossing Chapel (13812 US-45, Bruce Crossing, MI 49912). A funeral service was held on Saturday, September 27th 2025 at 4:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Bethany Lutheran Church, SONCO Ambulance and the St. Nicholas Project of Ontonagon County.
