He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Tidey and Pearl Tidey (Heminger); his granddaughter Stevie Rae Tidey; and his siblings, Ray Tidey, Joan Tidey and Pat Goings.

He is survived by: his children, Steven Tidey (KeLee), Lisa Eliason (Steve), Melanie Byrdak, Adam Byrdak (Alyssa) and Troy Fuller (Susan); his grandchildren, Summer Tidey, Max Tidey, Leilani Eliason, Ariel Tarnasky (Devin), Wyatt Anderson and Benjamin Byrdak; his great grandchildren, Ophelia Breland, Angus Breland and Jasper Turay; and his siblings, David Hankins (Denise), Jay Tidey (Linda), Dora Huston, Doris Dale and Mary Weaver (Virgil).
