Irene Stankiewicz Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Irene Stankiewicz (Buchanan, Michigan), who passed away on May 16, 2026, at the age of 96, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph Fortuna and Mary Fortuna (Korwak); her husband Peter R. Stankiewicz; and her sisters, Florence Mack and Josie Kozeniowska.

She is survived by: her children, Susie Barker (John) of Portage, MI, Peter Stankiewicz (Mary Jane) of Indianapolis, IN, David Stankiewicz (Shelly) of Coloma, MI, Tim Stankiewicz of Watervliet, MI and Carie Jo Gore (Dave) of Stevensville, MI.. She is also survived by grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the North Berrien Senior Center of Coloma, MI.
