With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Joann Pugh of Buchanan, Michigan, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Joann left this world on June 21, 2025 at the age of 85, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. She was predeceased by: her parents, Albert Schmidt and Dorothy Schmidt (Dean); her daughter Mary Ellyn Stinchcomb; her stepdaughter Sandra Pugh; and her siblings, Dorothy, Mary El and John.
She is survived by: her children, Laurie Jacobs of Niles, Amanda McKie (Tim) of Coloma and James "Jimmy" Pugh IV of Buchanan; her stepdaughter Jackie Pugh; her grandchildren, Gabrielle, Joe, Jevonne, Corrin, Ryan, Sam and Violet; and her brother Albert Schmidt (Tanya) of Coloma. She is also survived by six great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild.
Visitation will be held on Friday, June 27th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Swem Chapel (301 W Front St, Buchanan, MI 49107). A celebration of life will be held on Friday, June 27th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
