It is with great sadness that we announce the death of June R. Byrum of Buchanan, Michigan, who passed away on July 13, 2025, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Edward Zelmer and Mollie Zelmer (Webber); her daughter Amelia Hawkins (Scott); her granddaughter Kristina DeFreez; and her brother Lavon Zelmer.
She is survived by: her husband Ronald Byrum; her children, Michael Byrum (Nancy) and Sandra Best (Craig); her grandchildren, Shannon Byrum, Molly Byrum, Katherine Woods (Jermaine), Ronald DeFreez, Richard DeFreez, Carrissa Hawkins and Brandon Hawkins; her sister Barbara Norton; and her sister-in-law Virginia Dempsey. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 17th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. Paul's Lutheran Church - Buchanan (212 W Front St, Buchanan, MI 49107). A celebration of life will be held on Thursday, July 17th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. Paul Lutheran Church (212 W Front St, Buchanan, MI 49107).
