He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry Surch and Flossie Surch (Conrad); and his brother Rex Surch. He is survived by: his wife Joyce Eckelbarger; his children, Karen Cuthbert (Jerry) of Buchanan, Kathryn Rund (Jim) of St. Charles, IL, Douglas Surch (Ellen) of Warrenville, IL and Kevin Surch (Jody) of Berrien Springs, MI; his grandchildren, Jennie, Katie, Jill, Kristin, Danielle, Michael and Patrick; and his sister Darlene Davis (Roger) of Niles, MI.. He is also survived by twelve great grandchildren.
