He was predeceased by: his parents, Eston Long and Ida Long (Kesl); and his siblings, Bruce, Lynn, Robert, Gregory Long and Gloria Hastings (Long).

He is survived by: his daughters, Tennille David (Brandon) and Cassandra Harris (Vincent); his granddaughters, Emmerson Slavens and Camryn Harris; and his siblings, Sharon Verlinde (Bob) and Thomas Long (Judy). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
