He was predeceased by: his grandfathers, John Carstensen, Robert Bright and Richard Schardt. He is survived by: his parents, Keith Schardt and Teresa Schardt (Carstensen); his fiancé Dorina Kinga Szabó; his sisters, Grace (Aaron Wheeler), Aryn and Leah Schardt; his grandmothers, Barbara Carstensen (Steven Goodnow) and Edna Schardt; his nephew Raiden Alonso; and his niece Amira Wheeler. He is also survived by many loving aunts, uncles, and cousins.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Bowen's honor to The Weatherman Foundation (https://www.weathermanfoundation.org), which supports families of foreign soldiers serving in Ukraine.
