It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Alice Ellen Courney of Burton, Michigan, born in Flint, Michigan, who passed away on July 17, 2022, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Omer Foster and Hilda Foster; her son Scott Courney; her stepdaughter Theresa Courney Powell Bronson; her siblings, Liz Farkas, Donna Brander and Enith Foster; and her brothers-in-law, Frank Farkas and Gregg Brander.

She is survived by: her husband Robert Courney (Bob); her children, Joseph Wendt (Wanda) of Gladwin, Salle Gean (Jerry) of Swartz Creek and Lisa Shofner of Burton; and her stepson Robert G Courney of Flint. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
